Acadian Monitoring Services Adds AES IntelliNet to Central Stations
Acadian Monitoring Services, founder of the America on Watch Security Network, announced the addition of AES IntelliNet receivers to its central station in Lafayette, La. and Austin, Texas. The AES 7705i MultiNet Receiver will enhance Acadian’s wireless and IP central station service offerings via the use of patented long-range wireless mesh network technology.
Wireless mesh networking is an innovative technology that is rapidly being adopted by many industries with applications that need to communicate data over a large geographic area. The advanced design and two-way data communications capability provides easy installation, expansion, and management when compared to alternative communication methods.
“The addition of these AES products allows us to take advantage of wireless mesh networking, giving us more reliability, redundancy and faster signal transmission than any wired or wireless network technology available,” said Kenny Savoie, director of operations, Acadian Monitoring Services. “Furthermore, since the monitoring transceivers themselves make up the network, negating the need to use radio towers, this saves us hefty monthly fees and essentially offers us the lowest cost of ownership possible.”
Acadian Ambulance, its parent company, is the largest private Ambulance Service in the U.S. Acadian plans on utilizing their ambulance substation bases along the I-10 corridor, across Louisiana, to establish its transceiver network. In addition, any dealer across the US would only need to supply an IP link to “Join the America on Watch Security Network”.
The 7705i AES-MultiNet system is a UL Listed and NFPA72 compliant advanced wireless-to-Internet receiver designed to support multiple AES-IntelliNet wireless mesh networks, from one central monitoring station. MultiNet offers many advanced features, including integrated software that allows secure system access and control via a remote PC and provides for modem and telephone line back up in case of Internet outage.
Acadian Monitoring Services is a network of UL listed Central Stations located in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Chicago, and a fully redundant, bi-directional backup center in Austin. Acadian has achieved Five Diamond Certification from CSAA and also holds a UL 2050 certification. Acadian partners with security dealers and integrators across the U.S. to provide a full portfolio of monitoring solutions for security, medical, video, access control, Telehealth and GPS fleet tracking.
