NBFAA Members Awarded Free Trip to Las Vegas
New Jersey Natives Take Top Prizes in Member Get A Member Campaign

Irving, Texas, Aug. 29, 2006 – Chris Mack, ADI branch manager, Teterboro, N.J., and Scott Fischbein owner of Scott Security Systems, Edison, N.J., were the winners of the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association’s (NBFAA) Mission Possible: Member Get A Member Campaign.

“Our Member Get A Member Campaign was designed to be a win – win– win for everyone. Certainly, Chris and Scott are going to benefit from free vacations, but everyone who took advantage of this program benefited through the increased association membership and the networking that was required to sign up a new member. And all the members and the Chartered State Associations benefited from the addition of new members. I commend Chris and Scott for getting involved and helping to grow the association,” said Marshall Marinace, NBFAA Membership Committee chairman.

Mack was the grand prize winner and will receive two round-trip tickets to Las Vegas on American Airlines, a 4-day, 3-night stay at a Las Vegas Hotel of his choice, golf for two at the Revere Golf Club, and two tickets to a Las Vegas show. Mack referred three new members to NBFAA. The three companies were KB Electrical Service Company, Inc., Monroe Securities, Inc. and The Bain Group, Inc.

Mack is on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NJBFAA) and is vice president of the Northern region. He said he was excited to hear he was the grand prize winner.

Thrilled with the success of the program Mack said, “For the last couple of years in New Jersey we’ve had a major push for membership because of licensing. But licensing is just one reason for companies to join NBFAA and the affiliated chapter. I tried to stress all of the benefits of membership to everyone I talked to.”

Fischbein, winner of the Member Get A Member drawing will receive the same vacation package minus the golf outing. “Which is ok with me since I don’t golf anyway,” said Fischbein.

Currently a board member of NJBFAA, Fischbein has also served as that chapter’s president. Fischbein said he is a firm believer in NBFAA and his chapter. “I’ve always felt that everyone comes with great ideas and then those ideas are hashed into something that everyone has a part of. It’s all about leadership and bringing something to the plate that will make a difference for everyone.”

The Member Get a Member Campaign, which ended July 31, was a contest put on by NBFAA and its federation of chapters to encourage current members to refer new members to the association. Every time an individual sponsored a new member the sponsor’s name was entered into a drawing to win a prize. The one with the most new membership referrals won the grand prize.
