NTS Announces 2006 IP Networking Classes
for Dealers and Security Integrators
Regional and Private Company Training Available
Irving, Texas March 20, 2006 –The National Training School (NTS) today announced its 2006 course offerings for Internet protocol (IP) networking training classes for the electronic security industry. Through an agreement with the Security Networking Institute, NTS has trained more than 400 people since the end of 2004 when the IP networking courses were first announced.
Founded by the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) in 1985, NTS has trained nearly 30,000 people in the electronic life safety and security industry and today offers a diverse portfolio of courses that range from classroom and online to partner programs.
"Through this program, NTS is providing an independent and comprehensive professional development opportunity for security integrators to become educated in networking video, audio, and alarm signals," said Dale Eller, NBFAA director of Education and Standards.
The Security Networking Institute training utilizes instructor-led classes, hands-on equipment demonstrations, and real-world applications. Developed by an industry author and expert, the class teaches technicians and salespeople how to program and connect Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), network cameras, and other security equipment to networks and the Internet.
Security dealers may attend one of the many regional NTS or NBFAA chartered state association sponsored classes scheduled throughout the United States. Private company classes are also available in a two-day format. The IP networking classes provide 1.6 NTS Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
The regional class schedule is available at www.alarm.org. To schedule a class for your association or company, please contact NTS at 866-636-1687, or e-mail NTS@alarm.org. Detailed information about the classes is available at www.securitynetworkinginstitute.com.
