FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association/SDM First Line of Defense Award Deadline Quickly Approaching
NBFAA and SDM Magazine Working Together to Honor Security Industry Professionals

Irving, Texas, Oct. 25, 2005 – The deadline for the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association/SDM First Line of Defense award program for 2006 is quickly approaching.

Created in 1999, First Line of Defense honors the teamwork among security-installing companies, central stations and emergency authorities that have demonstrated outstanding performance in deterring, detecting or preventing crime and/or loss through the effective use of, and response to, security and fire alarm systems.

Companies proud of the work they’ve done and looking for a little free national and local publicity – have until Nov. 4, 2005 to submit their application.

The winners will receive a free trip to Las Vegas to the 2006 ISC West Show, courtesy of NBFAA and SDM. There they will be honored at the keynote breakfast and their story will be featured in SDM Magazine. In addition, NBFAA also helps the winning company with local publicity that demonstrates the difference security companies make in the community. This local coverage also benefits the award-winning employees as they are recognized for their work in saving lives and property.

Norshore Alarm Co. Inc., located in Libertyville, Ill., was the recipient of the 2005 First Line of Defense award. “It was an honor for us to be chosen for the First Line of Defense award. It adds additional credibility to our company, and I encourage every company to enter,” said Ken Hohs, owner of Norshore Alarm Co. Inc.

“Besides the positive accolades you receive by winning this award, you get a trip to Las Vegas!”
