There’s No Better Time to Join NBFAA!
March 9, 2005—Two prominent security industry companies have enrolled as the first two sponsors of the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association’s (NBFAA) New Member Double Bonus Program, and there is no better time than now to become a new NBFAA member company.
NBFAA has announced its newest member recruitment program, which launched February 15th, 2005. In six-month intervals, sponsoring companies will sign on to offer incentives to new NBFAA member companies as well as a cash donation to the NBFAA. In November of last year, when the program was in its infancy NBFAA associate member company, ADI, agreed to become the first sponsor. Soon after, NBFAA signed Criticom International to the roll. Through this program, all new members will receive a $50 incentive from each sponsoring company that, coupled with the discounts and savings already available to NBFAA members, can potentially save them thousands per year.
The New Member Double Bonus Program was the brain-child of NBFAA Vice President Counte Cooley who explained that the program was created in an effort to attract new members to the NBFAA by adding a little ‘carrot’ to the already attractive member benefits in place. Cooley explained, “NBFAA has decided to split the cash contribution with participating Chartered State Associations (CSA) for their efforts in promoting the program and doing some aggressive member recruitment this year. I believe the program will bring new customers to the sponsoring companies and new members to the NBFAA and its CSA’s.” “We are limiting the program sponsorship to NBFAA associate member companies and are hoping that many more will step up to be involved. We’ve already had other companies approach us with interest,” Cooley commented.
As one of the world’s largest suppliers of security and low voltage products, ADI has over 105 branch locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, and is a company designed with the customer in mind. As a participating sponsor, ADI will present every new member company with a $50 gift certificate, which can be redeemed at any ADI branch location, and will donate $50 for each new member company to the NBFAA. Tom Polson, ADI President, said that ADI is pleased to join with NBFAA on this venture. “The NBFAA plays an important role in this industry. They provide a unified voice to consumers, legislators, and the media. ADI always has and will continue to support the NBFAA,” Polson remarked.
Criticom International utilizes the latest in technology security monitoring services to provide dealers with state of the art services. To support the New Member Double Bonus Program, Criticom International will present every new member with $50 in free monitoring services and make a $50 donation for each new member company to the NBFAA. “Criticom International is happy to support this new member recruitment program, which benefits and strengthens NBFAA, Criticom and the industry as a whole,” said Criticom Vice President, Tom Few, Jr. “Supporting NBFAA is something that every company involved in the electronic life safety and security systems industry should take very seriously. Having the watchful eye and support of the NBFAA is as important to protecting your assets as owning a security system – when you need it, you really need it – and if you buy a security system after you’ve been robbed – it’s too late.”
“This new program is a ‘win, win, win, win, win’ if you think about it,” says Cooley. “The new member receives a bonus for joining; the existing member benefits by the strengthening of the associations through additional members and revenue; NBFAA and the CSA’s receive the benefit of increased membership and revenue; and the participating sponsors – (currently ADI and Criticom International) – benefit through the exposure to potential new customers.”
