"This is a wonderful opportunity for the alarm industry to enjoy an afternoon of golf," said Merlin Guilbeau, executive director of NBFAA. "There's no reason for anyone to feel guilty about taking the afternoon off to play. By taking part in the tournament, participants are both helping the industry and networking with business associates. This fundraising event will help to further the fulfillment of AIREF's mission of improving industry partnerships with public safety." "Events such as this are only possible through the participation and sponsorship of generous individuals and organizations," said Jamie Orvis who is heading up the event. "The individual participant fee of $250 includes greens fees, cart, lunch, transportation to and from the golf course and the evening event. For $100, non-golfers will be able to purchase tickets in advance for the evening event." The inaugural AIREF/NBFAA Golf Tournament was held on March 30, 2004.
