NBFAA and NTS Announce New
Courses Offered in Three States
Training Opportunities Increase in Georgia, Nevada and Oklahoma
Irving, Texas, March 27, 2006 –The National Training School (NTS) announced today it is offering classes in Georgia, Nevada and Oklahoma—states currently without chartered chapters of the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA)—in order to expand training opportunities for security professionals in those areas.
The decision to expand our courses to other areas was an easy one, said Dale Eller, NBFAA director of Education and Standards.
“Implementing training courses in states like Georgia, Nevada and Oklahoma helps alarm companies and their security professionals meet state licensing requirements,” Eller said. “It’s also a chance for them to keep up with technology and stay ahead of the competition.”
NTS held the Certified Alarm Technician Level One course in Georgia in late March with a full class.
“We are very pleased with the success of this first class,” NBFAA Executive Director Merlin Guilbeau said. “It is an indication of the need for training in Georgia and we are confident that future courses will be as well received.”
In April, the Advanced Burglar Alarm Technician course will be offered in Georgia and the Certified Alarm Technician Level One and Practical Electronics Level Two courses will be offered in Oklahoma.
Founded by the NBFAA in 1985, NTS has trained nearly 30,000 professionals in the electronic life safety and security industry and is expanding its course load with the addition of these states.
“We are aggressively delivering NTS training in all states that don’t currently offer it, and we are willing to go wherever the demand is,” Eller said. ”Interested individuals in states where NTS is not currently offered should contact us immediately.”
